Christmas month!

It's 1st of December today!!!
In exactly 25 days we'll have Christmas!
As you have already seen, I've decorated my blog and I've almost finished the decoration of my house!
Here are some pictures...

The weather is getting colder day by day and the snow has covered everything.
I didn't leave my home yesterday, not even for the bakery near my house! I prefered my hot home! So after a lot of blogging I cooked some "choux".
I succeeded to make them like the recipe and they became delicious!
I'm going to make a profiterol with them later today!
They'll be a perfect dessert for my Norway+Greek lunch dish!!!Thanks to Anette and Xanthi I made a great combination: mashed
broccoli and cauliflower, from Norway and salmon with vegetables in the oven, from Greece!
And small cheese pies from...me!!!
We all loved it!!!

I decided to comment...on your comments, so I started that from my previous post and I'll continu
e to do so! If you want come back to see my answers to your ideas, questions etc...

Thank you for your nice words! Internet is great to bring people so close and give ideas! Blogging is more personal and mostly a way to express feeling and show what kind of people you are...

Thank you for your visit. Your house looks very warm and comfortable. I didn't go out either yesterday, but today I had to do some shopping for Saint Nicholas and my birthday, which we both celebrate tomorrow. When I returned from the supermarket( five minutes on my bike) my hands were frozen in spite of my gloves. I was glad to be home again with hot coffee.

Happy Birthday Wil!!! I hope I'll see you soon to tell you my wishes from close!!!

Saint Nicholas (Greek: Άγιος Νικόλαος, Aghios ["holy"] Nicolaos ["victory of the people"]) (270–6 December 346) is the canonical and most popular name for Nikolaos of Myra, a saint and Greek[ Bishop of Myra (Demre, in Lycia, part of modern-day Turkey). Because of the many miracles attributed to his intercession, he is also known as Nikolaos the Wonderworker (Greek: Νικόλαος ο Θαυματουργός, Nikolaos o Thaumaturgos). He had a reputation for secret gift-giving, such as putting coins in the shoes of those who left them out for him, and thus became the model for Santa Claus, whose English name comes from the Dutch Sinterklaas.

In my country we celebrate Sint Nicolaas,or Sinterklaas, on the 5th of December. We give and receive presents accompanied with a funny little poem or rhyme. We sing Saint Nicholas songs and eat "speculaas", a hard brown cookie, which is delicious together with chocolate milk.
Saint Nicholas is the same one you know in Greece, and he is the patron saint of sailors and fishermen here as well, but also a friend of the children. Santa is a weak copy of Saint Nicholas and he is not a bishop like Saint Nic. He is invented by Dutch immigrants who went to America.

More about Saint Nicholas:
In Dutch-speaking Flanders, colorful parades greet St. Nicholas with bands and banners picturing the saint. He and his Zwarte Piet assistants come in November by boat, train, or on horseback to get ready for his feast day, the 6th of December. The Sinterklaas season is mainly a children's festival because December 6th is a special day for children, rather than whole families as in the Netherlands.
