SkyWatch Friday: Pigeons on a cord!

One of my neighbours has many cages with pigeons. He feeds them and grows them up and then he sells them (I hope alive). From time to time he leaves them fly free in the air. That was the moment that I took this photo. After a few minutes they went back to their cages as if they were going back home from a brief walk.

Interestiing to hear about these trained pigeons. I hope they're sold for fun and not food! Do people even eat pigeons?

Wow, Ms.Marina. This is amazing story. They just come back to their cages all by themselves? :)

That's alot of birds to feed. I'm happy to know they come back home after their brief outing.
I like the insulators on the telegraph poles. We collect them, and have not seen any like this before.

Pigeons on a cord, eh!. There was a song some years ago called 'Bird on a Wire' by Leonard Cohen. Look it up. it was a good song.

And that is a really great photo.
